Financing

The financing of all activities of the RCGEB is primarily through performance, management, and coordination of research projects. In the past 15 years over one million US$ were obtained through research grants. The main sources of the grants were the former YU-USA Joint Funds for Science, The US Ministry of Agriculture, US Ministry of Health, former Federal Secretariat for development, SZNJ, RZND, FEBS, UNESCO/UNDP), foreign biotechnological companies, Faculty of Medicine Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, Institute for Corn Production, Zemun Polje-Belgrade, FR Yugoslavia, Macedonian National Health Fund, Ministry of Science of the R. Macedonia, and fees for the training courses. Most of the funds were allocated for equipment, materials, chemicals and expendables for the needs of the projects.
